From Arnoga, at the large right hand turn on the State Road 301 from Foscagno going up towards Livigno, take a left onto the unpaved road that enters Val Viola. This road runs along the valley (around 5 km) to a parking lot, where you can leave your car and continue on foot over the cart track. Going slowly uphill, you'll come to the Altumeira alpine huts (2116 m), while towards the south the Val di Cantone di Dosdé opens up. At the convergence of this valley with Val Viola there is a vast grassy level area where l'Alpe Dosdé (2129 m) is located. The path continues, keeping to the left orographic side of Val Viola (left when facing downvalley) and leads you to the mountain hut.
