The Campo Moro damn (1990 m) can be reached by turning left off the State Road 38 at the entrance to Sondrio to take the Val Malenco road, following the signs to Lanzada and Franscia. After this the road is unpaved (Milano - Sondrio 130 km; Sondrio - Franscia 24 km; Franscia - Campo Moro 9 km). Follow the unpaved road to come shortly to a second damn, the Gera damn. From the parking lot below the damn you can get to the top of the damn walls and along these to the opposite shore of Lake Gera. Follow the easy trail heading north and over a long diagonal cross the eastern slope of Sasso Moro. The last part is steeper and goes over numerous curves which bring you to the mountain hut.
