From Morbegno, on the Stelvio SS 38 (around 110 km from Milan), turn off on the right to take the road for the Pass of San Marco. Enter the Valley of Bitto di Albaredo. From Albaredo head for the pass of San Marco and after several curves and a long tract halfway down the mountain side, the road enters and then crosses the small valley of Lago. There, on the right, you'll see the turnoff for the mountain hut (signs mark the way).
