From Starleggia (which can be reached by taking SS36 to Campodolcino- 133 km. from Milan- then turning left for Isola and left again a few hundred meters further on for Starleggia) take the C20 trail and continue uphill from the town following the steep footpath. You will shortly come to the grassy hollow of San Sisto, a small group of houses at an altitude of 1810 m. From here cross the river, go left, and walk along the path until you hit Gusone. Then take the trail which keeps to the left of the valley's direction of waterflow and follow it up to the pass where the biouvac is located.
