From the mountain hut Baita del Capriolo, follow the road that goes along the eastern shore of Lei Lake, which arrives at the southern tip of the Pian del Nido Alps, where some alpine huts are located at 1949 m. Without crossing the river that flows from the Val di Cà, go up the right side (left of the river's flow) to the Pass of Lei. Continue along the broad saddle of the pass and follow the lakeshore to the southernmost side, which looks out upon Val Bregaglia. The biouvac is on the left.
