From the Gianetti mountain hut follow the Roma Trail over level terrain towards Camerozzo Pass, past the base of the SSW ridge of Pizzi Gemelli. From here leave the trail to climb towards the northwest, first over narrow pasturelands and loose rocks and then enter the moraine valley. Ascend this valley to the snowfield that comes to the foot of the butress near the top of Bondo Pass. Go over snowfields and loose rock and then into the basin of the small glacier between the top of Bondo Pass on the left and the eastern side of Pizzo del Ferro on the right. Continue over the glacier, passing near the rocks on the left to come to the middle part, which is cut into by several cracks. These can generally be passed on the left. You'll soon come to the rocks of the pass which you climb over. Pass the bergshrund on its left and go over a ledge, which is loose and unstable at the beginning. You'll come to the bivouac and the pass, flanked by a granite tower.
