From Chiaregggio follow the road that continues just past the last houses of the town. Continuing on foot, take the road on the left that goes down to the riverbank (still drivable but difficult) and enter the fir woods of Pian del Lupo. Come to the bridge over the river which comes down on the right from the Muretto Valley. Following the signs, leave the trail that goes over low ground to the Forbicina Alps and instead take the trail on the right that goes up to the lower Vazzeda Alps (1832 m) and then to the upper Vazzeda Alps (2033 m). Leaving the trail on the right that leads to Forno Pass, go up the morainic mound just right of the alpine hut and at around 2000m turn left (south) for a long traverse in the direction of the lower offshoots of the eastern ridge of Cima di Vazzeda. Go up and sideways to the ridge, on which, in a point with a beautiful view, you'll find the mountian hut.
